Gregory Smith

Gregory Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research administration and compliance. Currently serving as Director at Huron since February 2018, Gregory has co-managed a significant third-party risk management assessment for a major research university and led an internal audit assessment at a state university. Prior to this role, Gregory held various positions at Huron, including Manager and Associate, where responsibilities encompassed oversight of grants and contracts, research security, and implementation of accounting solutions at top-ranked cancer centers. Previous experience at Carnegie Mellon University and UPMC involved subcontract administration, proposal submission, and coordination of research training programs. Gregory holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
