James Murphy, Ph.D., is a philanthropy advisor and executive coach with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership. They founded and served as CEO of Oenovitale Wines Ltd. and have been a strategic partner and coach at Advancement Resources since 2018. As the CEO of Murphy+Associates since 2001, James has held various philanthropy leadership roles across numerous institutions from 1985 to 2018. Currently, they serve as the Higher Ed Consulting Director at Huron while pursuing advanced studies in Political Economy and French Civilization. James earned a Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from Rice University, complemented by a BA and MA in History from the University of Houston.
