John Arvanitis

John Arvanitis is a seasoned professional in financial crimes and compliance, currently serving as the Managing Director and Financial Crimes and Fraud Solutions Lead at Huron since July 2025. Previously, John held the position of Senior Managing Director for Global Financial Crimes Compliance at Treliant until its acquisition by Huron in the same month. From 2014 to November 2022, John was a Managing Director at Kroll, where efforts focused on advising financial institutions and multinational clients on risk-based strategies regarding AML, threat finance, and FCPA compliance. Prior experience includes serving as Special Agent in Charge of the New England Field Division at the Drug Enforcement Administration from 1987 to 2014, where John directed enforcement programs and managed substantial budgets for combating global narcotics trafficking and money laundering. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and various educational certifications from Harvard University, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the University of Virginia.
