John Balison

John Balison is a seasoned civil engineer with over 30 years of experience in transportation design and construction management. Since 2002, John has served as Principal at HVEA Engineers, where expertise is applied in transportation projects. Prior to this, from 1997 to 2002, John held the position of Group Manager at Chas H Sells, Inc, specializing in federal-aid transportation initiatives for various municipalities in New York. Earlier in John’s career, from 1991 to 1996, John worked as a Civil Engineer II at NYSDOT, focusing on bridge and transportation project design and serving as a liaison to the Construction Group. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Buffalo, completing the program in 1990.
