Nancy Chen is an experienced educator with a strong background in geology and environmental science, currently serving as an Upper School Science Teacher at Harvard-Westlake School since August 2017, where responsibilities include leading field excursions and designing lab experiments in subjects such as Geology, Chemistry, and AP Environmental Science. Nancy is also an Executive Committee Member with the National Association of Geoscience Teachers, chairing the K-12 Committee and the Outstanding Earth Science Teacher initiative. Previous roles include teaching at Breakthrough Learning Center, serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and lecturer at California State University, Fullerton, and engaging in various research and community service endeavors throughout academic career. Nancy holds a Master of Science in Geology from California State University, Fullerton, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology with a minor in Chinese from Allegheny College.
