Matthew D. Smith, PE, currently serves as a Board Member for Kentuckians for Better Transportation since August 2025. Previously, Matthew held various roles at Jacobs from June 2021 to May 2025, including Highway Engineer and Project Manager, and currently serves as a Project Manager at Lochner since May 2025. Matthew's experience also includes a position as a Transportation Engineer at Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber, Inc. from May 2019 to June 2021 and as a Roadway Engineer at HDR from May 2011 to May 2019, focusing on project design and enhancement of roadway systems within budgetary and time constraints. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky and is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
