Stephen Benson

Stephen Benson is a certified urban planner with 15 years of experience in developing and implementing plans that foster positive change in communities. They served as the Planning Director for the City of Tampa, where they supported a multi-disciplinary team focused on realizing the city's vision. Previously, Stephen held various roles at the Florida Department of Transportation and Tindale Oliver, including Bicycle & Pedestrian Safety Program Manager. Currently, as the Florida Planning Practice Leader at Lochner, Stephen advises clients on addressing complex urban challenges to create better communities for future generations. Stephen also completed a Mission-Oriented Innovation Bootcamp in Urban Studies at UCL in 2021.
