Avery Baker

Avery Baker has a diverse background in maintenance and supervisory roles, beginning with a position as Sergeant at Osceola Police Department from February 1993 to July 2000. Transitioning into the industrial sector, Avery held various positions at Nucor Steel Hickman, AR, where responsibilities included maintaining mill systems and overseeing safety and maintenance as a Maintenance Mechanic and Day Mechanic. From June 2016 to August 2025, Avery served as Hot Mill Lead Mechanic and then as BR2 Hot Mill Maintenance Supervisor at Big River Steel. Currently, Avery is the Plant Day Supervisor at Hybar. Prior to these roles, Avery was a Maintenance Supervisor and Manager at Thomas & Betts and owned a self-employed maintenance operation at Utley Inc. Educationally, Avery graduated from Rivercrest High School in 1991.
