Hydra-Flex was formed in 1985 in a small warehouse in Livonia, Michigan and grew rapidly within the greater Detroit region by supplying hydraulic and pneumatic hose, fittings and adapters to the automotive tooling industry.  

In 1997, Hydra-Flex was purchased by Air-Way Manufacturing Co, one of the leading global manufacturers of hydraulic fittings and adapters since 1950.  Hydra-Flex stocks a broad range of Air-Way adapters that are available for same day shipment.

Hydra-Flex has also been recognized as an OEM Alliance Partner with Manuli Hydraulics, a leading global manufacturer of hydraulic hose and fittings.  Hydra-Flex supplies hydraulic hose assemblies to a number of OEMs and is in the process of expanding our capabilities to other regions and markets within the United States.
