Esra Simard

Esra Simard, CPA, CA, currently serves as a Senior Advisor for External Reporting at Hydro One since October 2020. Prior to this role, Esra held positions as Controller at Kanish & Partners, Chartered Accountants and Advisors from July 2017 to September 2020, and at Goldmoney from January 2017 to July 2017. The professional background also includes a role as Sr. Specialist in Internal Controls at Dream Unlimited from August 2015 to December 2016 and experience as an Accountant at Hogg, Shain & Scheck from December 2010 to August 2015. Additional experience includes advising for Youth Empowering Parents (YEP) and working in Internal Controls at BMO Capital Markets. Esra began the accounting career as a CA Articling Student at Bennett Gold LLP and co-chaired the Ryerson Business Forum while also serving as a Marketing Associate. Esra holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Ryerson University and has continued professional development through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
