Benoit Fleutot is currently the Lead Researcher at Hydro-Québec's Centre d'Excellence en Électrification des Transports et en Stockage d'Énergie. They previously held positions as a Research Scientist and a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at various institutions, including Carnegie Mellon University and EDF Energies Nouvelles. Benoit completed a PhD in Physico-Chemistry of Condensed Matter at STMicroelectronics France and the Institut de Chimie de la Matière Condensée de Bordeaux. Additionally, Benoit served as an Assistant Professor at Université de Picardie Jules Verne from 2014 to 2019.
