Jonathan Laporte has extensive experience in political and governmental affairs, having served as Attaché politique for the Bureau du député de Repentigny Nicolas Dufour from November 2009 to May 2011 and for the Bureau du député Mathieu Traversy from August 2011 to August 2018. Responsibilities included drafting speeches, press releases, and public statements, as well as managing media relations. Prior experience includes the role of Adjunct de circonscription in the bureau of député d'Alfred-Pellan Robert Carrier and various positions in residential landscaping and a hardware store. Jonathan Laporte holds a Diplôme d'étude collégiale in Science humaine from Collège Ahuntsic and a Baccalauréat in Political Science and Government from Université de Montréal. More recently, a position as Conseiller in governmental and regional affairs at Hydro-Québec was held in March 2025.
