Hydronic Shell Technologies

At Hydronic Shell Technologies, our goal is to transform the construction industry by introducing a new category of HVAC and facade system that will enable deep energy retrofits of existing multifamily buildings at the enormous scale necessary to dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions from cities around the world. The Hydronic Shell system will reduce the heating and cooling energy consumption of existing buildings by an order of magnitude while achieving major improvements in other key areas of performance, including thermal comfort and indoor air quality. Retrofitting the Hydronic Shell onto an existing facade will revitalize the building appearance with limitless architectural possibilities. Performing the work outside of the building minimizes tenant disruption and avoids costly tenant displacements. Beyond retrofits, the Hydronic Shell will also emerge as a preferred HVAC technology for multifamily new construction. Our technology will offer better performance at lower cost than any other HVAC technology on the market today. Buildings are one of the largest sources of CO2 emissions around the world. Societies understand that they must reduce these emissions dramatically, but the industry still lacks a solution that is cost-effective and can be deployed at the large scale necessary. The Hydronic Shell is a transformative new solution and we are on a mission to develop and deploy it across the globe as quickly as possible.
