HydroSpire is developing medical devices and clinical evidence base to launch the safe delivery of hydrogen gas therapy in hospitals, emergency medicine and outpatient settings.   Hydrogen is a powerful selective scavenger of oxygen radicals produced by ischemia/reperfusion injury.   These highly reactive oxygen species extend the tissue damage to heart and brain resulting from blood flow interruption and blood vessel injury for hours and days beyond the point that blood flow has been restored.
