Chris Phebus

Christopher Phebus currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Hydrostor, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this role, Christopher was the Senior Vice President of Engineering and General Manager at Kelly Slater Wave Company from December 2018 to August 2023, contributing to the development of advanced wave technology for the World Surf League. Christopher's career also includes leadership roles at Ocean Power Technologies as Executive Vice President of Engineering, where responsibilities included overseeing the market introduction of autonomous ocean wave power generation products. At GE Oil & Gas, Christopher held multiple leadership positions, including Executive Engineering Director and General Manager for various engineering and technology sectors. Additional experience encompasses roles in quality management at GE Energy and product support engineering at GE Aviation, alongside foundational work at Pratt & Whitney. Christopher Phebus holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and an MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, complemented by executive leadership training at Crotonville Alumni.
