Hypely is a cultural signal intelligence studio for fragrance and beauty.

Most of what this industry calls listening is counting. How many times was a brand mentioned. What's the sentiment score. How many followers. These are fine numbers to have. They answer a narrow question narrowly.

We ask a different question. When a person on Reddit writes 3 paragraphs about why they repurchased a fragrance for the 4th time, that is a fundamentally different signal than when a creator drops the same brand name into a top-ten list and moves on. Both are mentions, but they mean very different things. The difference between them is where the real brand story lives.

Hypely captures organic discourse across Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook Groups. We track 5,000+ fragrance and beauty brands with product-level granularity, separate creator content from consumer discourse, ingest full video transcripts as searchable text, and run bilingual English-Arabic coverage including Arabic spellings and community-specific aliases.

The Brand Love Index (BLI) is our proprietary classification framework. Every mention is tagged with a discourse role (passionate praise, ritual loyalty, recommendation, comparison win, criticism, and others) and weighted according to the consumer psychology literature on brand attachment. The result is a love intensity score that often diverges from raw volume. A brand can dominate mention count and still score low on love intensity because most of those mentions are neutral references or comparison benchmarks. That divergence is the insight most volume-based tools cannot surface.

Built for fragrance and beauty by someone with a decade of beauty and luxury experience and a personal fragrance collection that has its own spreadsheet.
