Carolina Drake

Carolina Drake is a Miami-based freelance journalist specializing in arts and culture, currently contributing to prominent publications such as the Art Newspaper, Financial Times, Artnews, Hyperallergic, and BBC Travel since January 2024. In addition to writing a monthly newsletter column that explores themes of grief, art, and the internet, Carolina has served as an Arts and Culture journalist for Hyperallergic since 2015. Carolina also holds teaching positions at Ransom Everglades School and Manhattan Country School, demonstrating a commitment to education. Academically, Carolina possesses a Master of Arts in Philosophy and Art from Stony Brook University and further qualifications in Philosophy/English Literature and Applied and Professional Ethics from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
