Stacy Platt

Stacy Platt is a versatile professional with extensive experience in the arts and education. Currently serving as a Contributing Writer for Hyperallergic since November 2022, Stacy has also been a Visual Arts Educator at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs since August 2015, developing and teaching courses in Photography, Visual Foundations, Art History, and Art Writing. Previous roles include Editor of Exposure Journal at the Society for Photographic Education, where significant improvements in publication accessibility and audience engagement were achieved, and Content and Community Engagement Manager at MDI Biological Laboratory, focusing on platform development. Stacy has held various editorial and management positions, including Managing Editor at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and has a strong background in digital imaging and social media content creation. Educational credentials include an M.F.A. in Photography from Columbia College Chicago and a B.A. in Humanities from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
