Susie Yu

Susie Yu has a diverse work experience in software engineering and project assistance roles. Susie started their career at Siemens Canada Limited as a Logistics Project Assistant, where they effectively managed incoming medical equipment orders and streamlined project documentation management. Susie then worked as a Full Stack Engineer at McMaster University, designing and developing a web-based floor map and room allocation tracker. Susie later joined RLDatix as a Backend Web Developer, where they led the modernization of a legacy client engagement platform and spearheaded the development of a loyalty program. Currently, they are employed as a Backend Software Engineer at Hypercare, where they use technologies such as Node.js, GraphQL, SQL, NoSQL, and AWS to provide secure healthcare communication tools.

Susie Yu completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Computer Science from the Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University in 2017. Prior to that, they pursued Honours Life Sciences at McMaster University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from Microsoft, including Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals in April 2023, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals in December 2022, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals in January 2022, and Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals in September 2021.
