Tom Chamberlain

Tom Chamberlain has worked in the insurance industry since 2001. Tom began their career at Aviva UK as an Actuarial Pricing Manager, where they headed up the Actuarial pricing team in charge of Small Business Commercial and Corporate Partners. Tom also led the development of the pricing, methodology and launch of the new e-broking and i-market platforms for Aviva across the Mid-Market segment. In 2008, they moved to Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) as an Underwriting Manager Aerospace and General Aviation. Tom then became Head of Chief Regions and Markets III Office, and Head of Actuarial Rate Development. In this role, they managed and led a global team of Actuaries and Analysts across London, Munich, New York, and Romania, reporting to the Chief Actuary. Tom drove the development and rollout of a suite of global pricing tools, using statistical techniques and data analytics to gain insights into customer behavior and performance based on multiple data sets, enhancing risk mitigation, providing a competitive advantage in the market and driving profitable growth. In 2022, Tom Chamberlain joined Hyperexponential as VP Customer & Consulting.

Tom Chamberlain attended the University of Oxford from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a 2:1 in Mathematics. Tom then went on to the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, where they are currently a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, specializing in Actuarial Science.
