James Smirniotopoulos

Medical Advisor at Hyperfine

James Smirniotopoulos is a Professorial Lecturer at George Washington University and former Professor and Chair of Radiology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Previously, he was Chief of Neuroradiology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington D.C., which was responsible for training radiology residents throughout the U.S. He continues to teach Neuroradiology in the successor Radiologic-Pathology course sponsored by the ACR. He is a Special Volunteer at the National Library of Medicine at the NIH; and, is Chief Editor of the MedPix™ Radiology Database and Teaching File. He is the recipient of the ASNR 2021 Gold Medal.
