Peter Chow

Peter Chow is a highly experienced legal professional with a focus on patent law and intellectual property. Peter began their career in 1987 as a RA for Applied Immune Sciences, Inc. and went on to work as a Director of IP at Prolifix Medical and SonoSite. At Medicis Technologies Corp., they served as Patent Counsel, where they played an integral role in developing the company's IP strategy. Peter then worked as General Counsel at Guided Delivery Systems, Inc., providing legal analysis and conducting inventor reviews. Peter later joined Intellectual Ventures as a Senior Patent Counsel, managing a large patent case docket and overseeing multiple law firms. Peter also worked at Verb Surgical Inc. as an IP and Legal Counsel, handling contract drafting and review and conducting invention review sessions. Prior to their current role as Director Legal at Hyperfine, they worked as a Patent Attorney and Consultant, providing patent strategies, drafting new applications, and managing outside counsel costs. Starting in 1982, Peter Chow attended UC Santa Barbara where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Peter completed their undergraduate studies in 1987. Continuing their education, they enrolled at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law in 1990 and obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law three years later, in 1993.
