Over the years, Malaysia’s construction industry has been one of the major industries that are contributing to the Malaysian economy. A new technological process known as Building Information Modelling, or short for the term “BIM” has recently emerge within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. Since its inception, there have been a number of countries around the world that acknowledged its advantages and benefits. The acknowledgement then turned into recognition and it has now become a mandate in some countries.

Here in Hyperion Projects, we recognise that BIM is changing the process of a project, from planning, to budgeting, and to delivery. It does have positive effects on all the aspects of construction, from designing stages, construction stages, to facility and asset management. It also has a proven track record of improving efficiencies and effectiveness throughout the end-to-end project lifecycle. The key factor for a successful project deliveries hinges on the ability to communicate, update and collaborate information between different project teams. Ultimately, collaboration tends to result in better project outcome.

That is why here at Hyperion Projects, we are committed to seeing through the successful implementation of BIM in projects that we are involved in because we value its advantages and understand that the application of BIM in construction projects brings many benefits to the involved parties – greater productivity, better quality of work and cost certainties.

Here at Hyperion Projects, we think of BIM as a platform that will helps us on improving efficiencies by capturing valuable data, improves design, constructability, cost reliability, planning, deliveries, and most importantly, improving communication between the clients and construction parties.
