Upasna Bechan

Upasna Bechan is the current Head of product at HyperionDev. Upasna has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, starting their career as a Test Analyst at DATUM SOLUTIONS in 1998. After a year in that role, they moved to IBL as an IT Consultant. In 1999, they joined Derivco as a Software Analyst and stayed with the company for 10 years.

In 2010, they left Derivco to join Spacebar Media as a Product Manager. Upasna stayed with Spacebar Media for three years before moving to Gamesys in 2014 as a Product Owner - Game Engine. After a year with Gamesys, they joined Perfect Channel as an Agile Business Analyst. Perfect Channel was acquired by Dealogic in 2015, and Upasna remained with the company as a Senior Product Component Owner until 2017.

In September 2017, they joined EF Education First as a Product Manager. Upasna left EF Education First in May 2018 to join BET Software as an Information Technology Consultant. Upasna remained with BET Software until March 2021 when they accepted their current role at HyperionDev.

Upasna Bechan has a Masters in Information Security from the University of South Africa, as well as a Bachelors in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
