Emilie Persijn has had a varied career in the travel and lifestyle industry. In 2016, they began working at American Express as a Relationship Manager Centurion UK & ICC and Executive Travel & Lifestyle Counselor. In 2018, they took on the role of Travel Designer at VIVID Travel and Agency Partnership Manager at Niquesa. In 2019, they became a Travel Expert at Black Tomato. In 2020, they joined Just Eat Takeaway.com as a Recruitment Operations Specialist and Recruitment Operations Coordinator, and HyperJar as a Talent Development Manager. In their roles, Emilie has been responsible for creating bespoke itineraries, building up a network of travel trade partners, providing customer service, setting up onboarding programs, and designing and delivering specialist training. Emilie has also been responsible for developing leadership programmes and implementing Learning Management Systems.

Emilie Persijn has a diverse educational background. Emilie obtained a Master of Science in Tourism from KU Leuven in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Consecutive Interpreting from Artesis Hogeschool Antwerpen in 2012. Emilie also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Applied Linguistics from Universit\u00e9 C\u00f4te d'Azur, which they earned in 2011. Emilie obtained a Bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics from Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel between 2008 and 2011. Additionally, they completed a language course in Italian Studies at Eurocentres in 2009. Emilie also has several certifications, including Scrum: The Basics from LinkedIn (2021), Agile Foundations from LinkedIn (2021), Diversity Recruiting from LinkedIn (2020), and Global Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility: Be Sustainable from Coursera (2020).
