Matthew Hole has worked in a variety of roles since 2015. Matthew began their career as a Crew Member at McDonald's, where they developed clear and positive dialogue and ensured a high quality service. In 2016, they were one of 200 successful applicants out of 700 to undertake a research placement at the University of Northampton, exploring ways to excite school children about a path down STEM career paths using a widely accessible micro-computer. In 2018, they worked as a Warehouse Operative at BOOKER RETAIL PARTNERS (GB) LIMITED, where they were given targets that they achieved efficiently and effectively without compromising on the quality of the work. In 2019, they worked as a Warehouse Operative at Personalised Gifts Shop and as a Systems Engineering Intern at GE Aviation. In 2020 and 2021, they worked as a Warehouse Operative at WEATHERBEETA Group Equestrian Sporting Goods. Most recently, they have been working as a Backend Developer and Cloud Native Solution Development - Software Engineer at Vodafone, developing serverless REST APIs in AWS Lambda in Node.js and other technologies. Matthew is currently working as a Full Stack Engineer at HyperJar, developing backend microservices in Java with Springboot, GraphQL, REST, and Axon Framework as well as frontend web applications using React with Next.js, Cypress, and Apollo GraphQL.

Matthew Hole attended Wrenn School from 2010-2015, where they obtained their GCSEs. From 2015-2017, they attended Wrenn School (Sixth Form) and obtained A Levels in Maths, Physics, and Economics. Matthew then went on to attend Coventry University from 2017-2021, where they earned their Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Systems Engineering.
