Lingfei Zhao is a staff engineer and condensed matter physicist specializing in integrated photonics. They completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Condensed Matter Physics at Duke University from 2016 to 2022. Currently, Lingfei works as a staff engineer at HyperLight after serving as a postdoctoral researcher at the Duke Quantum Center, where they focused on micro-fabricated ion traps in cryogenic systems. Prior to their doctoral studies, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Nanjing University and studied physics at The University of Western Australia.
