Siyuan Liu

Siyuan Liu is a Senior Engineer at HyperLight, where they are currently building integrated photonic devices using the Thin-Film Lithium-Niobate platform. Previously, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Northwestern University from 2018 to 2024, contributing to advancements in fundamental physics through precision measurements of the electron's Electric Dipole Moment. Siyuan also has experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at both CERN and Harvard University, where they worked on particle trajectory calculations, collision event analysis, and quantum control of single electrons. They hold a PhD and an MS in Physics from Northwestern University and a BS in Physics from Nankai University.
