Ian Richards

Ian Richards possesses extensive experience in managing the deployment of telecommunications infrastructure, particularly within the Hyperoptic Internet Service Network. Since August 2016, Ian has held various managerial roles at Hyperoptic, including Retro Deployment Manager and New Build Deployment Manager, emphasizing project planning, stakeholder coordination, and quality assurance across various deployments in the South of England. Prior to Hyperoptic, Ian served as the UK&I Physical Infrastructure General Manager at Westcon Group, where responsibilities centered on enhancing strategic physical infrastructure services. Ian's career began in the cabling industry with roles including Cabling Installation Manager at Satelcom and General Manager at PCI COMMS Ltd, all of which focused on business development and project execution. Ian completed a formal apprenticeship as an electrician and holds educational credentials from Guildford College of Technology and Bishop Reindorp C of E School.
