Tim Coleman

VP Digital Human Studio at HYPERREAL®

Tim Coleman has extensive work experience in the field of character rigging and technical supervision. Tim most recently held the position of VP Digital Human Studio at Hyperreal Digital LLC. Prior to this, they worked as an Instructor at CGMA | Computer Graphics Master Academy, where they developed and instructed an intermediate level Mechanical Rigging online class.

Tim also served as a Character Technical Supervisor at Magic Leap, where they were responsible for overseeing character technical aspects. Tim held a similar role at Sony Pictures Imageworks, where they supervised character rigging and played a key role in the production pipeline.

Before that, Tim was the Character Technical Supervisor at IMAGEMOVERS, L.L.C., where they formed and supervised the character rigging department for feature films. Tim also worked as a Creature TD at Industrial Light & Magic, where they ran simulations and rigged characters for major films.

Tim's career began at Giant Killer Robots, where they served as a Character Rigging Supervisor and worked on various projects, including the Fantastic Four feature film. Tim also gained experience as a Character Rigger at ESC Entertainment and Tippett Studio.

Additionally, Tim worked as a Maya Software Trainer at Alias (now Autodesk) and contributed to the training and development of Maya software.

Throughout their career, Tim Coleman has demonstrated expertise in character rigging, technical supervision, pipeline development, and tool development.

Tim Coleman attended the University of California, Davis from 1987 to 2002. During this period, they studied Landscape Architecture and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree.
