Scott G Edwards has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several decades. Scott G started their career in 1977 as a Fire Fighter and Paramedic with Portland Fire and Rescue, eventually progressing to become the Deputy Chief Fire Marshal. During this time, Scott also developed a Fire Inspection Record Entry System (FIRES 2000) Data Management Software Package.

Later on, in 1983, Scott served as the President of Hypersoft and in 1985, they became the CEO of HYPERtech, Inc., where they focused on computer hardware retail sales, repair, and consulting, as well as software development, specifically in computer-aided dispatch and fire prevention management.

In 2007, Scott established their own photography business named Scott G Edwards Photography - Aperture Artistry, Inc. With over 37 years of experience, they specialized in various fields such as portraits, weddings, special occasions, seniors, team sports, nature, and commercial photography. Additionally, Scott had expertise in photo restoration and archiving, post-processing services, LDS weddings and events, and photography education.

In 2011, Scott founded On Target NW, Inc., where they assumed the role of Owner and Chief Trainer. Scott G offered personal protection and firearms instruction, certified by the NRA and preferred by the Johnson Creek Gun Club, Inc. Scott taught various NRA certified training courses, concealed handgun license courses, and educated individuals on Oregon self-defense laws. Scott G was also actively involved in several organizations such as the NRA, Legal Defense Network, Inc., Front Sight Training Institute, CCRKBA, SAF, USCCA, and Johnson Creek Gun Club, Inc.

Scott G Edwards obtained their EMT degree in Emergency Medicine from Mt. Hood Community College, which they attended from 1978 to 1979. Subsequently, they pursued further education at the Providence Medical Center - Paramedic Training Institute - OHSU, where they acquired a Paramedic degree in Emergency Medicine, completing their studies from 1979 to 1981.
