Brian Stumm

Brian Stumm has extensive work experience in engineering and management roles. Brian most recently worked as the Senior Director of Engineering at Hypertherm. Prior to that, they served as the General Manager of Jade Bird Fire Alarm Europe, where they successfully led the start-up of the company and obtained full EN 54 approval for their products. Brian also held the position of VP Global Strategy & Development at Beida Jade Bird Universal Fire Alarm Device Co., Ltd. In addition, they worked at UTC Climate, Controls & Security as the Director of Engineering for various divisions, including Specialty Detection and Suppression Systems, and Marioff Corporation Oy. Before that, Brian was the Director of Engineering at UTC Fire & Security, Global Fire Suppression, and Kidde-Fenwal. Brian also gained experience as the Director of Engineering at ETCO, Incorporated, and Tyco Electronics. Brian began their career as a Development Engineer at AMP Incorporated.

Brian Stumm completed their education as follows:

- From 2023 to 2027, they pursued a Doctorate of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Colorado State University.

- In 2018, they completed the Emerging Leaders Development Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

- In 2007 and 2008, they obtained an MBA from the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.

- Between 1996 and 2006, they earned a Bachelor's degree, specifically a Master of Electrical Engineering (MEEE), in Electrical Engineering from Capital College, Pennsylvania State University.

- In 1992 and 1993, they obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

- From 1987 to 1992, they completed their undergraduate studies at the Rochester Institute of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
