John Freudenberg

John Freudenberg has extensive consulting and engineering experience in standards and certification, spanning over 40 years across various industries, including connected welding, plasma cutting equipment, and semiconductor manufacturing. As a consultant at JMF Freudenberg Consulting since April 2017, John provides independent expertise on global certification and serves on national and international standards committees. Previously, as Regulatory Engineering Leader at Hypertherm Inc., John was actively involved in multiple standards organizations and successfully completed numerous product certifications. Earlier roles included staff product safety consultant at Teradyne, where John facilitated compliance workshops, and director of compliance engineering at Motorola, managing product safety compliance testing. John's career began at Digital Equipment Corporation as a senior field service product safety manager, following various roles at FM Global and UL focused on safety engineering and compliance. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Instrumentation from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
