Hypha Advising is composed of Davinah Simmons and Kristy Valdez. We have 20+ years combined experience working with perinatal programs, health care institutions, and community stakeholders. Our ability to bridge community and institutional experiences and insight is what sets Hypha Advising apart.

We have collaborated with providers, health plans, public agencies, community organizations, and member programs in over 25 states to identify and solve for gaps in engagement, service, and care delivery. Our experience represents all regions of the country and a diverse socio-political and public health landscape across the spectrum of maternal health outcomes, midwifery friendliness, prioritization and funding for perinatal programs, and regulations. 

Our consulting work has roots in perinatal community care as well as fluency in Medicaid policy and program strategy. Individually, we also serve families via one-to-one doula care and are engaged in local perinatal coalitions and collaboratives.
