Jacob Boyer has been working in the mechanical engineering field since 2013. In 2013, they participated in the Disney College Program as a student. In 2014, they worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer for International Rectifier an Infineon Technologies Company, a Mechanical Engineer for MillenWorks, and an Attractions Host/Lead at Disneyland Resort. In 2016, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer for NPD Team and an Assoc Show Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Designer- Contractor for Walt Disney Imagineering. In 2020, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Postmates Inc. and Disneyland Resort. In 2021, they are currently working as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for Hyphen and a Fan Council Captain for Fan Controlled Football. During their roles, they have developed vertical lift mechanisms, bowl denesting systems, rapid prototypes, provided feedback to the league, sourced thermal testing chambers, designed prototype disc braking systems, investigated motor parameters, troubleshooted actuated differential systems, cleaned up vendor designs and models, designed mechanical parts, utilized Ansys to assess design integrity, and supported multiple aquatic vessel builds.
Jacob Boyer obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Irvine in 2013. In 2015, they obtained a SOLIDWORKS Mechanical Design - Associate certification.
