Daniel Bemmerer

Daniel Bemmerer is the Technical Director of the Felsenkeller Underground Laboratory (HZDR) and a Professor at TU Dresden, where they conduct laboratory experiments to study nuclear processes relevant for astrophysics. They have been a Group Leader and Scientist at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf since 2006. Previously, they served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at INFN Sezione di Padova and held various academic positions at TU Berlin, including doctoral researcher and scientific employee. Bemmerer earned their Dr. rer. nat. in Physics from TU Berlin, graduating summa cum laude, and a Privatdozent in Experimental Physics from TU Dresden.
