Jamie McDowell

Senior Android Developer at i6 Group

Jamie McDowell has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. They started their career at Microsoft as a Software Developer, where they worked on building web and desktop applications. Their main project involved measuring the quality of Bing in international markets and they focused on backend development, database design/modifications, and minor frontend changes. After that, Jamie worked at IBM as a Graduate Software Engineer, where they were responsible for developing software and fixing bugs in the Liberty Level 3 Service team. Finally, Jamie joined the i6 Group as an Android Developer, initially building apps for the Aviation industry using Java, rxJava, Dagger2, Butterknife, Retrofit, MVP/Clean Architecture. Later, they worked on another project using Kotlin, Koin, Retrofit, Coroutines, and MVVM. Currently, Jamie holds the position of Senior Android Developer at i6 Group.

Jamie McDowell attended Sullivan Upper School from 2003 to 2010. After completing high school, they enrolled at Newcastle University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
