Ken Whiting is the IAAPA Chairman of the Board (appointed in 2022) and serves on IAAPA's Board of Directors, guiding the association's mission to promote safe operations, global development, professional growth, and commercial success in the amusement parks and attractions industry. They are the Managing Partner at North Star Food and Beverage Associates, LLC (2010–present), providing consulting, benchmarking, and revenue-share F&B solutions for parks, attractions, and related facilities. They are Principal at Santa Cruz Fun Foods (since 2020) and President of Whiting's Food Concessions, Inc (since 1978), operating food and beverage at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, KP Arena, fairs and festivals, and corporate events throughout California. They authored WAVES For Teenage Workforce Success in 2008, with a second edition published in November 2010. They are a speaker and facilitator, delivering keynotes and educational sessions on leadership, customer service, communications, and related topics.
