Richard Burke

Richard Burke is currently the Academic Director at IAAPS - Advancing Propulsion, a position held since 2023. Previously, Burke was a Senior Lecturer at the IAAPS - Institute for Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems from 2018 to 2021 and a Professor of Sustainable Automotive Propulsion at the University of Bath from 2021 to 2014. Burke also engaged in various roles at the University of Bath, including Prize Fellow in Automotive Powertrains and KT Fellow. Additionally, Burke gained early experience as an aftermarket placement student at Delphi Diesel Systems and an SAP key user at SNR Roulements - NTN Corporation. Burke holds a PhD in Diesel Engine Thermal Management and a Meng in Automotive Engineering, both from the University of Bath.
