Andy Baker

Andy Baker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in commercial management, contract oversight, and strategic development across various sectors. Currently serving as a Council Member for World Commerce & Contracting, Andy promotes the organization’s mission and strategic goals in the EMEA region. As Commercial & IT Director at Ascent Flight Training, leadership in the commercial and IT teams is key to delivering training solutions and advancing ICT strategies. In addition to these roles, Andy contributes to the Jon Egging Trust as a Volunteer Finance Committee member, providing ethical oversight and financial scrutiny for the charity. Previously, as a Charity Trustee at Marksbury Village Hall, strategic planning and execution of a 5-year business plan were significant accomplishments. Andy's earlier career includes impactful positions in the UK Ministry of Defence, overseeing major public-private partnerships and achieving substantial cost savings. Andy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering and Design from Loughborough University and a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance from ACCA.
