Jason Gibson

Jason Gibson is a highly experienced professional in the field of advanced composites and engineering. Currently serving as the Chief Commercialization Officer at IACMI – The Composites Institute since May 2025, Jason focuses on aligning innovative research with market needs and fostering industry collaboration. With extensive experience as the President and founder of Composite Design and Research, Jason addresses complex materials challenges for clients in aerospace, defense, and clean energy. Previously, Jason held several key roles at Composites One, including Chief Applications Engineer and Advanced Composites Market Manager, where significant contributions were made to business development and product innovation. Earlier positions include Director of Manufacturing at EdgeWater Power Boats and Operations Manager at Regulator Marine Inc. Jason holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida and multiple degrees from The Ohio State University, including a Master's in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
