Francesca Iannuzzi has extensive work experience in data science and research. Francesca currently holds the position of Head of Data at iAdvize since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Maisons du Monde from 2019 to 2023, where they held multiple roles including Head of Data Science, Lead Data Scientist, and Lead Supply-Chain Data Scientist/Engineer. From 2015 to 2019, Francesca was the Lead R&D and Academic Partnerships at Data Observer. Francesca began their career as a Postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille (CNRS) in 2012, where they completed significant scientific projects, organized workshops and competitions, and mentored a Ph.D. student.
Francesca Iannuzzi obtained a B.Sc. degree in Astronomy from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna in 2005. In 2004 to 2005, they participated in the Erasmus Programme at the University of York, studying Physics and Astronomy. Francesca then pursued a M.Sc. degree in Astronomy, specializing in Cosmology and Gravitation, at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 2005 to 2008. Finally, they completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, from 2008 to 2012.
