Anthony Wetherall

Anthony Wetherall is a UK qualified lawyer with over twenty years of experience in nuclear legal and regulatory matters, including sixteen years with the Office of Legal Affairs at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). They currently serve as the Head of the Nuclear and Treaty Law Section, having previously led the IAEA Legislative Assistance Programme and worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore on nuclear governance. Their expertise includes advising on nuclear safety, security, and liability, along with legislative assistance for IAEA Member States. Anthony holds two LLM degrees, one in Energy Law and another in Drafting Legislation, Regulation, and Policy, both earned with distinction. They are a member of various professional associations, including the International Nuclear Lawyers Association and the International Law Association.
