Heanu (Hyunwoo) Lee is a Project Manager in the External Events Safety Section at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), a role they have held since 2021. Previously, they served as Coordinator for the Siting Topical Group at IAEA from 2012 to 2021 and as a Stress Test Project Manager at the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety (KINS) from 2015 to 2021. They also held the position of Head of the International Cooperation Department at KINS in 2021 and worked as a Principal Researcher and Resident Inspector, focusing on nuclear power plant site selection and evaluation. Heanu earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geology from James Cook University in Australia, where they studied from 1994 to 2000.
