Jonathan Beaumont

Jonathan Beaumont is a senior science and engineering expert in the nuclear field, specializing in the integration of innovative approaches in radiometric instrumentation. They served as a Senior Non-Destructive Assay Systems Engineer at the International Atomic Energy Agency from 2017 to 2020, delivering radiometric system solutions across 25 countries to enhance nuclear safeguards. Previously, they held the position of Research Engineer at Lancaster University, where they developed imaging techniques for nuclear decommissioning and security, notably capturing the first images of fission neutrons in an operating nuclear reactor. Jonathan holds a Doctor of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering from Lancaster University and an MPhys in Physics from The University of Manchester.
