Jonathan Oruru

Jonathan Oruru has extensive experience in the nuclear regulatory field, serving as the Head of the Nuclear Safeguards Division at the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority from November 2006 to September 2017, where responsibilities included national nuclear material accounting and reporting to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Since October 2017, Jonathan has worked as a Safeguards Inspector at the IAEA. Jonathan holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria, awarded in 2004, and a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from Ghent University, completed in 2011. In 2013, Jonathan furthered professional development at the World Nuclear University.
