Joseph Tompkins

Senior Nuclear Engineer

Joseph Tompkins is a semi-retired Health Physicist with extensive experience as a Nuclear Engineer, having worked both domestically and internationally with sealed sources. They have a strong background in Radioactive Waste Management, Radiation Safety, and the Transportation of Radioactive Material, and they hold the Certified Health Physicist (CHP) designation. Currently, Joseph serves as a Senior Nuclear Engineer at the IAEA and as a Technical Assistant for the CRCPD, where they assist in the management of disused radioactive sealed sources. Joseph earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University and a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from The University of New Mexico.
