Marc Kenzelmann is the Director General at the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate ENSI and currently serves as the Chair of the Commission on Safety Standards at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). They previously held the position of Vice Director General at the Bundesamt für Energie BFE from 2013 to 2020 and led the supervision and safety department there. With extensive experience in military leadership as a Colonel in the Schweizer Armee from 1989 to 2020, Marc also directed the National NBC (CBRN) Office at Spiez Laboratory from 2007 to 2013. They earned a PhD in Molecular Biology/Virology from the Universität Bern and a Master's degree in Biology from the Université de Fribourg.
