Peter ORMAI

Peter Ormai has extensive experience in the field of radiation protection and radioactive waste management, having held significant positions from 1977 to the present. At Paks Nuclear Power Plant, Peter Ormai served as Head of Radiation Protection Laboratories and focused on nuclear power plant radwaste management and technical developments from September 1977 to June 1992. Peter Ormai continued this focus as Head of Radioactive Waste Management Department at MVM Paks Nuclear Power Plant Ltd. from January 1992 to December 1995. Since January 2011, Peter Ormai has been working as a waste disposal specialist at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in chemistry with a specialization in radiochemistry from Technical University of Veszprém, Hungary, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in radiochemistry from the same institution.
