Simon Earp

Simon Earp is an experienced professional in the nuclear energy sector, currently serving as an IAEA Expert since February 2012 and participating in the Technical Working Group on Managing Human Resources in the Field of Nuclear Energy. Earp has a long-standing affiliation with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) since May 1997 and is a member of the Australian Nuclear Association Inc since September 2022. Previous roles include Deputy Director Pre-Operations, Corporate Director of Human Resources Training, and Head of Training at EDF (UK) from January 2010 to August 2024, as well as board member positions at Cogent Skills and the Nuclear Skills Strategy Group. Earp has held various management and operational roles at British Energy, including Fleet Training Manager and Training Manager, and began a career as a Senior Reactor Operator at Amergen Energy Co LLC. Earp holds a Bachelor of Science in Electromechanical Engineering from Aston University.
